Kraken Parent Payward Ties Up With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net to offer institutional clients instant digital asset settlement in Asia and the Gulf, any hour of the day.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has struck a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) to deliver continuous, real-time settlement for institutional digital asset clients across Asia and the Gulf region. The integration centers on SGB Net, the bank's proprietary clearing network, which removes the time-zone constraints that have historically slowed large-scale crypto transactions.
Under the arrangement, institutional clients gain access to instant settlement at any hour — a capability that addresses a longstanding friction point in digital asset markets, where traditional banking rails typically operate only during business hours. The deal represents a meaningful operational upgrade for counterparties who require certainty of finality when moving substantial sums across borders in volatile markets.

Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime, Payward's institutional brokerage arm, as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That step is expected to deepen the pool of tradable assets available through SGB Net and broaden the reach of Kraken Prime's institutional offering in two of the world's fastest-growing crypto markets.
The partnership underscores a broader industry push to align digital asset infrastructure with the always-on nature of cryptocurrency trading. By embedding a regulated banking partner's clearing rails directly into its institutional stack, Payward is signaling that bridging traditional finance and crypto settlement is now a competitive priority rather than a future aspiration.
