Oracle Links Banks to Swift Blockchain Ledger for Token Deposits
Oracle is integrating with Swift's blockchain ledger to connect banks' tokenized deposit systems across institutions in a global payments network.
Oracle announced an integration with Swift's blockchain ledger designed to allow financial institutions to connect their existing payment infrastructure to a broader global cross-bank digital payments ecosystem, the company said at Sibos in Miami on Sept. 28, 2026.
The integration centers on institution-controlled tokenized deposit infrastructure, meaning individual banks retain authority over their own digital deposit systems while gaining interoperability with other institutions through Swift's shared ledger framework. The arrangement is positioned as a bridge between legacy payment rails and emerging tokenized finance networks.

The announcement arrives as banks worldwide face mounting pressure to modernize payment architecture and participate in digital asset ecosystems without ceding control of core financial operations. Oracle's approach attempts to address that tension by keeping deposit control at the institutional level while enabling cross-border, cross-institution settlement through Swift's network.
Swift, which underpins trillions of dollars in global messaging for financial transactions, has been expanding its role in tokenized and blockchain-based settlement as central banks and commercial lenders accelerate digital currency pilots. Oracle's ledger integration represents one of the more concrete steps toward connecting traditional correspondent banking with tokenized infrastructure at scale.
